How to Measure Your Wrist (3 Simple Steps)

For the most accurate bracelet size, measure your actual wrist following these steps:

1. Measure Your Wrist

Use one of these methods:
Option A: Flexible Measuring Tape
  • Wrap a flexible measuring tape around your wrist just below the wrist bone (where you’d normally wear a bracelet)
  • Make sure the tape is snug but not tight
  • Note the measurement in inches
Option B: String or Paper Strip
  • Cut a strip of paper or use a piece of string
  • Wrap it around your wrist just below the wrist bone
  • Mark where the paper/string overlaps with a pen
  • Lay it flat and measure with a ruler
  • Note the measurement in inches

2. Choose Your Fit Style

Decide how you want your bracelet to fit, then add the appropriate amount to your wrist measurement:

Which fit should you choose?

Snug Fit: The bracelet sits close to your wrist with minimal movement. Best for delicate, thin bracelets or if you’re very active and don’t want the bracelet sliding around.

Comfort Fit (RECOMMENDED): The bracelet moves slightly but doesn’t slide over your hand too easily. This is the most popular choice for beaded bracelets and everyday wear. You can fit one finger between the bracelet and your wrist.

Loose Fit: The bracelet moves freely on your wrist. Best for thick cuffs, chunky bangles, or if you simply prefer a looser feel. You can fit two fingers between the bracelet and your wrist.

3. Calculate Your Bracelet Size

Your Bracelet Size = Your Wrist Measurement + Fit Preference

Sizing Tips & Recommendations

Which fit should you choose?

We recommend a comfort fit (+¾” to +1″) for the best balance of comfort and security. The bracelet should slide on easily but not fall off when you shake your hand.

For Custom Orders:

Not sure between two sizes? We recommend sizing up. It’s easier to wear a slightly loose bracelet than one that’s too tight.

For Gifts:

If you don’t know the recipient’s exact size:

  • • Women: 7½” is the most common size
  • • Men: 8½” is the most common size
  • • Teens: 7″ (girls) or 7½” (boys)

For Elastic Bracelets:

Elastic stretch bracelets should be measured snug to your wrist. They’ll stretch to go over your hand, so you don’t need as much extra room. Add only ½” to ¾” to your wrist measurement.
